My Christmas "Holly Suprise" Tree Skirts

 

 

I just love the idea of decorating with holly during the Christmas Season. What really made this tree skirt twinkle are all the holly berries around the outside edge. It is one of my original patterns. The skirt measures 20” in diameter. It is made of felted wool, roving wool, snippets of ribbon and Angelina fibers trapped under a layer of tulle.  I machine quilted the layers together in a meandering pattern and stitched the holly leaves to the surface. The skirt was backed with a lovely country blue felted wool and has beautiful red rhinestones for the berries to give this tree skirt added sparkle.
