Liz’s House

 

Add more to your spooky Halloween decorating with this wall quilt of “Liz’s House”. I used a lot of coordinating fabrics in this little quilt. I added a mini polka dot lime green and purple on the sides of the center block. Then a darker purple fabric and finally a lime green border. I then added some accent buttons, a couple of bats and one crazy looking spaced out cat. This quilt measures 21½ x 14¼ inches. There is a coordinating purple fabric on the back. It is machine quilted with lime green rayon thread with lots of swirls and bats in the stitching. All of the items I create are made in my pet free, smoke free home studio.

The General Store

 

I used my image of The General Store that I drew and had printed on fabric for the center focal point of this special little quilt. The little kids are going out for Trick or Treats dressed in their bed sheets as ghosts.  I framed the center image with yellow, black and lime green and then sewed in strips of orange and black and ended with a purple border. The finished size is 16½ x 20½.  I machine quilted with a variegated thread and added spider webs to the corners.  The quilt is backed with an orange mini dot fabric. The small black spider was added with a little hand stitching using pearl cotton. All of the items I create are made in my pet free, smoke free home studio.

 April, Joe, Barb

 

I used my drawing titled, April, Joe, Barb to be the focal point of this charming quilt. I framed the image in 2 shades of purple and then added a black and orange checkered border, before adding a final lime green border.  The finished size is 19 ¾ inches square. I backed the quilt with black with an orange border also. The quilting is by machine with rayon threads. I thread stitched pumpkins and vines in the border and added some beads to April’s hat and of course a creepy spider too. All of the items I create are made in my pet free, smoke free home studio.

Happy Haunting

 

I created this happy little quilt using a Halloween panel. Then I added a lime green border. The quilt is machine quilted with a meandering stitch. I hand quilted the border with orange pearl cotton. I added the ribbon and embellishments in the lower left corner. It really adds a lot to the quilt. The quilt is backed with a pretty purple polka dot fabric. The finished size is 16 ½ x 25 ½.
