Snowflake Gift Card Pouches

 

I wanted to share a new idea with you for a gift card pouch that I designed for the holidays. I started with a creamy wool felt which I cut for the center part of my pouch. Then I backed it with a stabilizer and thread painted one of my images on the front portion of the pouch and added a little design to the back flap also. I placed this over a solid blue piece of felted wool a little larger that my first piece that I cut. I added a decorative stitch around the edge of the top piece and then stitched the sides together.  A little string and a button were added for a closure in the back, and then a ribbon loop for hanging. I thread painted one of my patterns of a little evergreen tree on the front and sewed it down to fabric and wool felt. I stitched up the sides and added a button closure to the back flap. Here is a new pattern I came up with for a gift card pouch.  I free hand stitched a lovely design of holly and berries onto creamy wool felt. After the stitching was done I sewed it to a royal blue piece of wool felt. I stitched up the sides and added a button to the back. The finished pouch measures 4 ½ x 3 ¾. All of the items I create are made in my pet free, smoke free home studio.
